Check out the home brew Thrust Vector setup

Recently, I came across the new Hyperion Enigma. A new 3D ship that has Thrust Vectoring. Check out my post with video: http://www.wattflyer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=60992

Well the Thrust Vector device is hidden by the cowl, but I went to bed dreaming about it... I woke early the next morning, and after 15 minutes with off the shelf parts, this is what I came up with...

The worlds first 2 Dog RC EPP Yak 54 with THRUST VECTORING!

Super cheap, I used landing gear nose blocks. Off the shelf less than $5.00 for a pair of packs. Simple attachment at the motor base, add a servo, mix it with rudder and PRESTO!

Oh yeah it works spectacularly!
I also did it to my AirfoilZ Edge, and it works better on that plane due to the fact it is lighter.

Frisbee style flat spins, and Pinwheel style vertical spins!

For the cheap $$, I say everyone ought to try it.

Here is the AirfoilZ mod:

Looks like the motor is shaking its head, "no! Don't put me up there again! All you do is thrash me around for your personal entertainment!" LOL :D

Crazy flyer/crasher :D
Yeah it is a great idea! I have been thinking about using the same mechanism you did there on my tricopter but I didn´t find anything looking close to that...

But it seems to be working quite well with you, so have some nice flights with it!

Boy I tell ya folks... if you havent done this yet you owe it to yourself to try it. SUPER FUN!

I can flat spin, and gain altitude... Knife edge flight can be done so crazy slow now it looks just wrong!

Hello @spitfire40. We haven't seen Nitro Blast on the forum for over six years, so I doubt he'll get back to you. But I can help you with thrust vectoring if you're working on a project. What are you thinking of building?

You've got a lot of options! Be creative, I'm sure you can work something out, and I can certainly help if you have any questions! Nitro Blast used some hinges to give is motor mount the ability to swivel, then he placed a servo behind the motor and did a direct linkage between the servo and the motor mount. You could try something similar!
