How do you do your master series canopy?

I need help with painting master series canopies. I know flat black looks great on most planes, but I would like to experiment. I’ve seen people paint theirs blue to simulate the sky or use metallic silver. Can anyone recommend a canopy style they really like? Also, has anyone tried using silver crafting paper and gluing it on the canopy before?

The simple shade from light to dark blue peak works good from all angles, hand painted with craft paint and brush. Details done with paint pin (oil base). I've used cut-to-shape adhesive foil on flat surfaces, but I think it would be too tricky on master series curves.

What did you use to paint the rest of the plane?
I often use colored packing tape, but when painting I use numerous very light coats of Rustoleum 2x. Never rush the first costs, which can soak and whrinkle the paper on the foamboard. The P38 is sky blue everywhere, with all camo bushed on with the earlier mentioned Hobby Paints, sealed with clear Acrylic. F-22 was white, again finished with hobby paint brushed. The Silver A51 was painted with Silver 2X, topped with BriteCoat.
