How to lower speed + power

Hey all. I'm building a flitetest flyer, put it on its maiden flight, but I don't like (scares me) how fast and powerful it is.

I want to slow it down to make it a bit slower, less powerful, and a little safer without really switching out components.

Would getting a less mAh battery or a 2s instead of 3s make a difference?
And instead of an APC prop, should I get a slowfly?

thanks!!

They make a throttle for a reason just lower the throttle when it gets too fast, unless the plane is heavy and it needs the speed to fly. Then your kind of out of luck.

If the plane can't fly slow enough, the only solution is reduce weight, but when it is lighter and has less power,it is harder to fly, power is your friend for recovering a mistake.

I’d just lower throttle, you can even program it into the radio. You can also put on a slow fly prop if you already have one but otherwise a standard 9x4.5-9x5 is just fine.
