https and the forum

Still Learning
When I go to the main flitetest page, I typically use https://flitetest.com/ When I click on the forum link, I used to enter the forum using https://forum.flitetest.com/ However, now the https server is no longer answering. If I change the URL to http://forum.flitetest.com/, all is well.

I haven't checked to see if the credentials for a logged in user are still exchanged using https or not. Obviously, if not, then session hijacking or even password stealing is a possibility.

Anyhow, can I suggest the https server for the forum be restarted? If not, then I suggest you change the link on the main page to force http://. There are bound to be people connecting with https and not understanding that they can change the link to http to make the forum work.

Thanks,

Mike

The FT Forum never used https:// :). They have just pushed SSL for the main website a few days ago and a while earlier they added a dedicated certificate for the store.

Forum is next, with a full on upgrade - new platform, servers and all. But that might take a few days.
