It seems that this show idea may have gotten lost. I was digging around in my garage the other day and come upon my crashed out Hyrdofoam from a couple years ago. I know the Hydrofoam craze seems to have gone to the way-side, but it is what got me back into RC and ultimately Multi-rotors. I'm actually looking for plans to build another as it was a BLAST to be buzzing around on the water at the local park and then pull up and off into the sky. I'd love to see FT's take on Hydrofoam build!

I have been kicking around the idea of building one of these for a few years myself. I have done a far amount of research in to it but my process came to a screeching halt in the scratch building stages. I have not had the time to get back in to it. But for those interested, I have the link to the thread here.

This would be a great kit with the waterproof foam. They could probably reuse the float's design from the FT Cub (https://www.flitetest.com/articles/how-to-upgrade-your-ft-simple-cub )
