Should I build the tiny trainer and practice with that and get better piloting skills then try to continue my plane. Also if I make the tiny trainer can I use the electronics from my plane now, and buy a smaller battery. Also can I make it from scratch, meaning can I use the foam board I have instead of buying it online pre-built.

Yes, you can build it with the electronics you’ve already got with a smaller battery (I recommend a 1300mah 3s) And you can use the Tiny Trainer PLANS (for scratch building) They are HERE.

When I first started flying I tried designing my own (not knowing about Flite test) and it didn't end up turning out so good (I made some HUGE mistakes like using a 10x5 prop on the motor that you have!) and now I wish I had started this way.
