In need of an FPV setup

Winging It

Im looking for my first FPV setup for some planes I have. I think I want a 1.2/1.3ghz video tx/rx. I know ill need a low pass filter to fly with 2.4 control. I have been looking at some places like bevrc but after hearing horror stories from chinese websites I am not so sure. I would like to have a budget at $300 and I would need a monitor/goggles. I dont need to go crazy far but I may like to be able to upgrade my system in the future.
thanks in advance

I love it. And that's the degraded/compressed youtube version. It looked awesome on the big flatscreen at work.

It will always have less penetration due to it's wavelength, but it's still very usable unless you get completely blocked out by a large building or many many trees...flying 5.8 just takes a little more planning but completely workable.

Here's Fred on 5.8:

Granted that is the GoPro footage but he's flying FPV.

No snow here, I'd have to move further south if that happened. :D
