I need new receivers and I was wondering if anyone has usd these before and what you thought of them. Or if you haven't could you point me in the right direction as to what has worked for you. I am not to keen on spending any more then $25 a piece, and it needs to be at least 6 channel, oh and they need to be DSMX compatible.

I have 3 "Storm S603" receiver's and they work perfectly, I've been over 1000 feet with no problems , haven't tried the others.

I'm a FrSky guy now but I have never heard a bad word about HK's OrangeRX and LemonRX receivers. I used the Lemons in the past with an old 4 channel Spektrum tx and never lost signal.

I've actually considered buying a DSMX module for my Taranis so I could run them as they are cheap and robust. They are good receivers.

I like lemon RX, but I've had good luck with these...

The two Rx's I have are Lemons pictured here 20200202_185745.jpg
I bought them about 4-5 months ago and I think they are dead, will only hold range at max 50' if you are lucky. The antenna's have broken off a few times, had to re-solder them back on, used other wire. I noticed they started taking a down turn in the past couple of weeks, and getting worse every time I fire them up.

I find with both Lemon and Orange that there is a love/hate relationship with them...

I've had multiple orange receivers fail on me...

Sounds like the orange aren't as good as the lemons or maybe the quality has just gone downhill. I thought they used to come in a plastic case?

I haven't used them in quite a few years and just noticed HK doesn't sell lemonRX anymore... maybe the orange are their knockoff of a knockoff?

I've seen bad connections on RX's of any brand other than Spektrum, I've had the FrSky antennas fall off while mounting the RX in the plane! Now I usually go over a new RX with a soldering iron and look for bad joints, a lot of these cheap RXs do have quite poor build quality.

These are very similar to the lemons I have...
I've had 3 if these randomly die..
And mine seem to have randomly died as well, at the same time
If you go with something like this:

You can have your failsafe set so that if you loose signal it will activate RTH so in that case, yes it is handy for FPV
This looks like a good investment, If you have the room to put it in your plane. Some of the receivers have stabilization, integrated with gyros, AS3X for Spektrum...
