Inkjet Waterslide Decal Paper

Has anyone had any luck with printing their own decals on inkjet waterslide decal paper?

I am planning on painting my FT foam speedbuild kits with Rust-Oleum rattle cans then home printed waterslide decals on top. Would I need to clear coat over the top?

I just use regular printer paper, and use white glue or spray adhesive to glue them to the plane. You don't "need" a clear coat but I highly suggest you use it. It will stop the ink from fading and make the decal a lot more durable.

Thanks, does a regular rattle can clear coat work, or should I invest in something nicer?
