Invitation to Closed Testing of the FPV App D‑Tracer

Hello pilots,

I am developing a new FPV application D‑Tracer for Android. It is designed to work with transmitters running EdgeTX/OpenTX firmware and the ELRS protocol.

App functionality includes:
  • Real‑time telemetry: display of RSSI, voltage, speed, altitude, coordinates, and other parameters directly on the map.
  • Route planning: the ability to pre‑plot a path and calculate distances.
  • Single waypoint marker: place a point on the map, and the app will show direction and distance to it from the drone.
  • USB OTG connection: direct integration with your transmitter to receive telemetry.
We are now launching closed testing and invite pilots to try the app first.

Testing procedure:
  • The closed test will begin from a specific date (to be announced).
  • Each participant is expected to use the app for at least 14 days.
  • During this period, please launch the app 2–3 times per week during your flying sessions and share feedback, suggestions, or bug reports.
How to join:
  1. Send me a private message or leave a comment.
  2. Provide the email linked to your Google account — this is the account you will use to test the app.
  3. I will add it to the tester list, and you will receive a link to install via Google Play (closed access).
Your participation and feedback will help make the app more useful and reliable for the FPV community.

Thanks

Do you support Bluetooth for those of us who have a module in our radio and do not wish to have an OTG cable linking the radio/tablet?

What Firmware do you support on the UAS?

I am already using the Telemetry Viewer app on Android over my Bluetooth link added into my TX16. Protocol doesn't matter as long as you have added the telemetry sensors. I do mostly use ELRS.

It is OpenTX/EdgeTX, not really taranis/smartport specific

Hi!
At the moment the app only supports connection via USB OTG cable.
The concept is to avoid any hardware modifications to the radio — all you need is simply a USB cable.
We work with flight controller firmware such as iNAV and Betaflight, as long as telemetry data is sent to the USB port over the ELRS (Crossfire) protocol.
In any case, you can just connect your setup and try — if telemetry is coming through ELRS/CRSF over USB, the app will display it.
