Help! Is the FT mini f22 easy to fly?

I want to build one of these recently, as I am running rather low on foam, so a simple design like the mini f22 should work. my only question is, if I get it on low expo rates, will it still fly like it did in the main build video? i just hope it can fly at meduim speed and similar to trainer characteristics instead of the ones shown in the build video, anyone with expreience with this?

You could throw a flight controller or gyro at it to tame it down. I have found it easy to fly right at stall speed with full elevator in leveling mode.

noo... the only gyro I was allowed to buy by my budget was a version only for normal 4chs and i dont know if i can convert it or smth to the elvon mode..as ther is a seperate product for elevons...and yeah all the budget left goes to consumables like glue, foam, etc. Help.

As with most planes the larger version flys way better. Start looking at your scrap you have lying around.

yeah..built that mini in 3hrs last night with some fumbling..out of just some scrap depron i found under my planes in the "hangar"

I had a lot of good flights with it. With 30% expo, normal rates, and no gyro it did great. More recently I built the regular size one, but didn't fly it yet.

I'm not even a good pilot.
