Just seen the most bazaar airplane. A barrel shaped "ducted fan", thing. I thought it would make a great flight test plane.

Last year's Flite Fest had a Flying trash can which had a large ducted fan of sorts. The large motor and prop were inside the trashcan and it flew ok as I recall

It did fly in 1932 and there have been a number of RC scale models built.
