It's That Time Of Year Again: Snow Skimmer Shenanigans!

So I started on a snow skimmer again, here's my progress so far:

If anyone else want to take part in the challenge, the rules are the following:
1. Design and scratch build something to go over the snow as fast as possible
2. Submit a video of said thing and we'll have a poll on which one was fastest
3. A bullet does not count as a "thing" and neither does a rc plane on takeoff
4. The thing must be on the ground for at least 5 seconds at it's top speed
5. Probably some wiggle room in the rules

Yaaaay! (Clapping hands together like the child that he is.)

Yeah there are some awesome ground effect vehicles out there. Except for "must be on the ground for at least 5 seconds at its top speed."
How about wet grass? That should do it.
what about us that don't get snow? are we left out? ;)
I guess wheels are allowed as long as it isn't too car like, but going over wet or short grass should be good. Using a slippery plastic slide should work for slightly longer grass.

How about wet sand? The stuff right at the edge of the ocean, with the little bit of water on top...

So I fished it with about a half a sheet of foam, one skewer, 3 popsicle sticks, and one stick of glue. It'll probably need modifications before it works well, but it's a start. You can probably tell my main inspiration for the design of this ;). There is just one problem, there is no snow, and the grass hasn't been cut in a month...

Are you gonna have some sort of stablization system? It'll be pretty hard to go straight if you don't. I'd suggest adding some sort of vertical stablizer to keep it tracking staight. Love the design, looks great. Can't wait to see how it performs.

Probably if the first test doesn't work well. I found a small patch where I can test it tonight

I did some tests and added a v-stab. While trying to get to its top speed I ran into a wall since turning it all the way around isn't enough, I have to do a 180 and then punch the throttle (at least on pavement), so I broke a few things. I've glued them back together and plan to paint this tomorrow and go to the park whenever it snows again. There's this steep hill that I want to go down at full speed, so it should be pretty fun.
