I can see that

I used to live in the town where Green Mountain Coffee was roasted. Now I live in Burlington, which is a college town, so there is coffee everywhere. Us New England folk take our coffee seriously.

FliteTest could also run a raffle quarterly, or every half. Two planes, and a radio. Tickets are twenty five dollars. Assuming one hundred tickets are sold, that's two and a half grand. One hundred tickets is a pretty small number for a show that has something like two thousand weekly viewers. I don't know what the cost is to run the show, but I have to imagine that it isn't much more than a few hundred an episode. I suppose I will have to butter Chad up to get a peek at the profit and loss statement. :)

I've flown a Navajo into Burlington, VT a few times during the winter. IFR every time. Kinda creepy when you start descending down into the clouds for the approach when you see "mountain" peaks beside ya ;-)

last one in before a Blizzard hit shutting down the airport (I could barely see to taxi) on one occasion.

Back in the 50's, a Mitchell "landed" on those mountains. There are still pieces up there.
We have been known to get some weather around here. The snowfall is worse towards the northern part of the state, but the wind in Burlington is impressive.

I'm sorry I missed your last couple of posts. You have some good ideas. The problem we have is managing these things. We all have full time jobs and then the rest of the time goes into the show. We need about $14,000/Month to keep everything operating as "normal". It sounds like a lot, but that's for 8 episodes/month and all associated costs.

We've got a few things in the works. Something should pan out soon. :)

These are community outreach-type events. Appoint a community manager. I am sure there are a few people you trust.

i dont know if anyone answered this question from the july 2012 directors update, but if everyone is trying to send you models to review then why not post what they are, and then allow viewers to vote?
There may be things we are interested in that weren't aware existed.

Dealing with suppliers and being part of one of the worlds largest suppliers of AV goods, i can tell you that the likes of CNET do not have their viewers calling on us to arrange reviews of our product. They figure out what the viewer base is wanting to see, following trends etc and then requesting a demo product to review.

Heres hoping its all a lot easier from now!

PS: Love Swedish Dave, that bloke has the best whacky ideas and really makes the show.

Get more of Daves frankenstien ideas and put them to work!

Cheers!
