Recently I got a c pack with a radial motor and I wanted to make a good flying plane for it. I knew that the FT spitfire is a good flyer and I wanted to make it my own a bit. In my ways I figured that it would be a good idea to make a Ki-61 out of the spitfire.
A picture of a Ki-61 for reference. I started by taking the nose of the spitfire and flipped the nose of the plane. I then made the fuselage with the flipped nose and modified the stabilizers a bit to make it look a bit more scale.
I attached the formers on to the fuselage and then I moved on to the wing.
I am a bit concerned about the wing surface area being big enough. At the moment I need to order rubber bands so the removable wing doesn’t remove itself in flight.
It is only 1.3 pounds or around 600 grams
