Kyosho P-54 Mustang motor choise

Hello there! I just bought an Kyosho Mustang 40 size model and want to convert it to electric.
Wing Span - 54.7" - length 47.6" - requires a .40 to a .46 two stroke or a .48 to a .53

Do you think this engine on 4s will do the job? EMax GT 3526/04 870KV (3-5S)

I'm thinking a 3526/870KV is not going to be enough. A 5055/500-600KV is probably what U need. If U want to match the a power of a 40 glow, my experience has been going that size motor with a 5-6s. I have a 2.5kg & a 3.1kg bird running an E-flit 46 ( 5055-650kv) -5s for the 2.5g & the e-flite 52 (5060-590kv)-6s for the other. BTW a very nice & here in the States, a very rare find.

But the 3526/870KV shall give 3000g tourgh and the planes weight is 2650g so how shall i think? shouldnt that be enough?

Aaaah, U did not mention the weight & was looking @ the power to match a 40 size nitro. If that is the info U have, then I guess that should be enough.

I was looking @ your motor choices on the link U posted. If U R going to stay with a 4S, then that motor looks like it should do it.
