so ive taken the plunge and bought a laser engraver, it started life as 500mw and a 'cutting' area of around a3, that wasnt going to work for me, so ive upgraded to 2500mw (i know still low powered but other people seem to get on fine) and ive bought some 20x20 extrusions 1m long to increase the work area, so it will be a bit bigger than a2 which is the size i get my foam board in.
my question is how are people getting their cutters to vary depth between cutting and scoring? i can either cut or score, not both which means i would have to run each burn twice. im using benbox at the moment but any suggestions as to a software that would be better suited to my needs would be much appreciated.
