I just scored a 1/4 scale cub, crashed but very fixable, army version. another semi complete kit, and two sets of plans for $20.00 couldn't pass it up. will have to get a gas engine. yours is beautiful
Here is the 1/3rd Scale Super Cub I scratch built from plans. Just finished it in July. Has about 12 flights on it now. She flies very scale with a 50 cc engine. Covered in Stits Polyfiber lite aircraft fabric. I use a 22x 8 prop. Cruses around at half throttle @ 38mph. Top speed of 44. It took me a year and a half to complete.
Truly a thing of beauty! We don't have the room to fly something that big around the Seattle area from the ground, but I am going to build a 1/4 scale cub float plane as we have a few lakes around here that are large enough to support a plane that size.

Was searching for Cubs and found these posts, I have always liked Cubs, some nice Cub pics. So I thought I would share a photo of my Great Planes Cub a friend took as I was making my approach to land, this was years ago, always enjoyed flying it, so relaxing. I still enjoy looking at all my old R/C photos now and then, oh yeah has a Fox Eagle 60 for an engine.
I'm still working on my Sig 1/4 scale clipped wing cub, with a build thread over at RC Groups, Sig Cub Build Thread. Probably a few more months and it will be completed, so far been working on it for a year. It is an electric conversion with some mods.

I am a bit of a bush plane fanatic. Here is my recent scratch build; 1/4 scale Clipped Wing Cub from Sig plans (no kit). Using DA35cc for power, swinging a Falcon carbon 20x8 prop. PowerHD 20kg servos. Covered in coverite painted fabric. Landing gear is Hangar 9 gear with shocks and tail wheel assembly from prbushwheels.com. Took me about 7 months to build.
