Lights... is a prefered accesories for many on their planes.
In my opinion, the "normal" LED´s dont give enough bright light.... specially to see in lighter conditions /daylight.
After checking up a bit, i got a tip to try out some Piranha LED´s
Piranha_led.jpg

Piranha LED - ultra bright, are some of the brightest LEDs for their size. Each has a large lens to produces a wide-angle beam.
and are known as the superflux led. Is found in 3mm or 5mm size
specs:
: 20mA 2 - 3.4V , 120 degrees angle
white: Intensity: 5mm -17,000mcd (3mm- 13,000mcd)
red: Intensity: 5mm - 7,600mcd (3mm- 10,000mcd)
green: Intensity:5mm - 16,000mcd (3mm- 13,000mcd)
yes, they are bright..very bright. :)

I soldered the led with the appropiate resistor, and wiring.
Then found a 9g plastic servo with stripped gears, and detached it, to get out just the electronics.

Removed the motor, and soldered the wires from the LED´s where the servomotor was connected.
With a servochecker adjusted the potentiometer to center, and glued it.

Then connected the servocable to the channel i choosed to use (ch9) on the reciver.

Setup in TX. You can of course just set it up with a switch, light on, or off.
On my Nirvana (Open TX) i set it up to flash.

At Logical Switches i did like this. Set to action: Timer. V1 is how long it should light, V2 how long be off.
Next what switch used to toggle off, or on.

Next, into MIX : on my choosen "light - channel" CH9, i set up this.

then made a new mix set in "after" the other one over here, with this values:

then at main "mix-window" at CH9 it will look as this.
linked to the Loigical Switch L09 as i made.

Then i got flashing very bright LED´s with a flick on the SWF switch. :) (or could shut it off with same switch)
