Help! Lipo Battery Safety

Havent needed to buy a hobby battery in maybe 6 -8 years? My micro quads use tatum which aren't around anymore, the "C" Pack setup is a knockoff called lectron pro from a place called https://commonsenserc.com/. They are abuse friendly, so far but a car battery, not ideal for aircraft.

I like https://batteryhookup.com/ for other needs which eat up batteries in the bigger range. Their calbs are rather cheap, their headways don't work as an airborne pack for a foamy but work nice as a BMX bike pack.

Aside; I put my batteries in "storage charge" when I am not going to use them over the winter. I may start leaving them discharged until I need them.

At our club meeting last year we met under the flight line shelter. It was a good thing we did because one of our members was charging batteries inside his trailer (enclosed one that lawn mowing services use) and we heard the "WHOOMP"!. Ran over and jerked the battery out. This is the aftermath.

I would not store them discharged. They will continue to discharge over time and will eventually be ruined.
They should be stored with a ~60% charge and checked periodically. I have batts that are 15ish years old that are still good, partially because I storage charge them.
