LiPo recommendation for Sport Cub S for longer flying time

Hi,

I am new in RC and was wondering if someone could advice me on the below.

My HobbyZone Sport Cub S comes with one 150mAh 1S 3.7V 25C LiPo battery and I would like to get a few more extra batteries. Which batteries would you recommend if I want to extend my flying time? I want the batteries to fit in the battery compartment without any modifications and ideally I would like to stick to E-Flite batteries as I consider them reliable and good quality.

Thank you.

But they should still be 25C?

Thanks.

Probably, if you can, but you might get away with 20C packs without problem.

25C means you can empty the pack in roughly 2.4 minutes without significant damage (60min/25C), where 20C can get you an empty pack in no sooner than 3 minutes.

While I expect a Sport Cub S will have a short flight time if you run WOT the entire flight, I expect it's still longer than 3 minutes.

I wouldn't buy a pack for any airframe less than 20C -- particularly small packs -- without having a few measurements to verify it's enough.

C rating isn't going to make much difference on the Sport Cub S. I have been running 200mah batteries in mine. Good thing is, the market is flooding with the 200-220mah batteries thanks to the inductrix/tiny whoop craze.

Some 220mah options:

Will the ones you recommend as well as the one below from E-flite fit in the Sport Cub S without any modifications? The E-flite one is wide.

Yeah, The ones I linked all fit on my Inductrix/Whoop/SportCubS just fine. I would not pay the eFlight premium. Haven't tried the 220mah on the SportCubS yet. Need to do some "wing repair" before indoor season starts next week. I get 15ish minutes easy indoor flying with the 200mah.

Cheers!
