Yea, that’s the problem. New users aren’t going to spend hours scouring the internet reading forum posts on 70+ airplanes to make their choice. So instead, it becomes arbitrary and we get first time users building inappropriate planes.

Hmm, Why not just go through the SP0NZ plans index, or search through the FT store instead?

Thanks! I’ve seen this one and it’s a good one, although it hasn’t been updated for a few years I think. To clarify, I don’t need it for myself anymore since I’ve been around long enough to know about most of the planes, but something like this along with a bit more of a description of “why” for each one would be really helpful for newcomers.

Many times a person can learn more by doing some research on their own instead of having everything handed to them,. That does not mean you cannot take the time to add descriptions to the planes not covered.

Not sure if anyone is familiar with the E flight Shoestring airplane. It is discontinued but I would really love to be able to find some plans for it and build it. Does anyone know where I could find them? Or does anyone know a plane that is available that is similar to it? I love the look of that plane, and have never built a scratch build so wouldn't really know what to do. It doesn't look like a complicated model but not sure where to start. Or maybe someone has one of these planes. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Sportix would be very similar and in my opinion an upgrade. Can get PNP or BNF.

Wow! I never have heard of Outerzone, but they had a bunch of plans for this exact plane. I downloaded 4 or 5 of them. Honestly I didn't think I would be able to find free plans for the exact plane! I am very greatful, thank you so much! Never have have built a plane just from plans, have had kits. I will see if I can get someone to print these out actual size, and give it a go. Thanks again to all.
