Livery Question - Sportster MKR2

I'm just getting back in to the hobby after many years. I'm not new to building, but I am new to the Flite Test method. I've watched tons of videos and different ways to customize. I'm particularly fond of the Golden Era aircraft; Gee Bee, Mystery Ship .. etc, so I thought the Sportster lent itself very well to that style. I had been thinking of what I wanted to do and I had settled on modeling it after the Aeronca LB, with the speed ring and big pants; however, after my kit arrived, I fell in love with the livery on the spec sheet that came with it. I've done some searching, and couldn't find anything on it. Does anyone know what materials were used? Covering, paint, techniques or anything that would help? I want it to look exactly like the spec sheet. I've attached a photo for reference, if someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance! I can't wait to be a part of the community! I'm hooked. I think?

Well u could cover ur airplane with white packing tape and then spray paint over it ! Or u could use vinyl wraps that they use for cars that could also work !

Yellow spray paint. The black stripes on the wing, and the checkerboard on the tail in Cricut vinyl. If the top skin is posterboard you can get that in black, or black paint if you want it glossy.

Thanks! I've spent half the afternoon in Hobby Lobby looking at the vinyls. The Cricut stuff is a lot lighter than I expected. Their color choices were limited, so I may just do an Amazon order. Thanks for the tips!
