I attended my local airport's annual open house today. The aircraft turnout was rather small compared to two years ago, but there were some gems on hand. I'll be posting up pics. But first - start-up of CAF's Red Tail Squadron P-51C.
Those are Sonex's. The pair came zipping over the airport in tandem, circled around and landed. The design has been around for a long time and is pretty tried and true. The landing gear is plenty for them. http://www.sonexaircraft.com
Sad thing is, if I would really just focus on saving the money for something like this, with enough time, I could afford it. You'd think by 42 I would have developed that kind of discipline.

But then you'd have to save up the same amount for fuel
I just checked - $1300 have gone through my HobbyKing account. Though that's with my friend buying his planes through my account and all that, I'm probably up to $800. :O
I don't even believe it myself. I checked again - take out $66 for an order I didn't complete. Still in the skies. But you will see, once you turn to the dark side!
Teach, are you counting what you have spent locally?
