The covering on the bird was difficult, it the best I could do. The parts are all hand cut so its are the match the cardboard coves to the actual plane, lots of finangling.

Hi Unrauv and congrat' to you for this great build ! (y)(y)(y)
I'm currently building the same from scratch , but in a different way. It's CNC cutted with hotwire from styrofoam and covered with kraft paper. I'm going to fly it in PSS for a contest in June and then I will add some engines I think. here is some pictures I want to share with you .

Regards

Hello sir,

I hope you weren't already asked this, forgive me for being lazy and not searching but is this program "Solidworks"? Amazing! How do I go about designing for the thickness of the foam, I'm using foam board? I wish to make bulkheads as well but I have to account for the thickness of the board roughly 1/4" meaning the bulkheads would be thinner. I'm currently using Blender 2.8 because its free, amazing and Im used to it. I tried using "pepakura designer" so I can unfold the model to print on flat paper then transfer to the foam board but it takes into account my polygons which makes for a messy unfold I want nice smooth curves to print. The only wood piece I'll have would be the piece the motor mounts to. I currently have the model done-ish and want to know if you could please help direct me to the next steps, because I love what you did here? Attached is what I've done so far:

Thank you for your time,

William

Unfortunately, Unrauv has passed away.

I don't know the answer to your question, maybe you could start a new thread, to help get your question answered?

Hello I just joined Flitetest.com I am building my second 88" all electric Lockheed Constellation specifically the model 1049C which goes in EASTERN AIRLINES trim this time as first was a TWA. My question is where may I find documintation for the (wing tip lights) on my 1049C there are NO tip tanks.
