Introducing Maddie, my 10th (yes, really!) FT Spitfire.
This one is built using 5mm Westfoam from here in the UK, and is powered by a Turnigy 1350kv motor, with a 40A ESC, 9x5 propeller, and takes a 2200mAh 3-cell.
After a shaky start, this one has turned out to be the best FT Spitfire I've built yet. She flies phenomenally at 75% throttle, will do any warbird-style aerobatics you want her to, but is as gentle as a kitten lower down the speed range. She floats in on landing and flies like a beautiful trainer.
(She's called Maddie because I tried writing a short story/film script set in WW2, and the female character delivers a photo-reconnaissance Spitfire to the airfield where the main character is based. Her name was Madeleine - hence "Maddie".)
