I came across this and I think the FT community might want to get involved.

WE ARE PLEDGING OUR DONATIONS TO CHILDREN’S MIRACLE NETWORK HOSPITALS

This year we are pledging our donations to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. They raise funds and awareness for 170 member hospitals that provide 32 million treatments each year to kids across the U.S. and Canada. When you contribute to maker’s care to support Children’s Miracle Network, donations stay local to fund critical treatments and healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment and charitable care. That means whether you’re in CA or PA, your donation goes towards helping kids near you who need it most. Your projects share a story, and spread a message of hope. The awareness you raise and the money you donate, goes to help these children. When you hashtag, or share our video, you tell the world how you want to use your crafting, baking, woodworking, homesteading, or any other skill to change lives. We can join together through making together. These projects bring us closer. So share your project, share your story, and help us help our kids.

THIS YEARS THEME IS: MAKE TIME FOR PLAY

Here’s how it works: Make a toy, game, or create a work of art using any materials you like! We’ll be making donations for every project submitted.

After you’ve completed your project, take a good photo of it and submit it to Makers Care. Please consider making a $5 or greater donation at the same time! Another way to help out is to tell others about your contributions and share Makers Care with your social networks. Please use the official hashtag: #makerscare17 #maketime4play.

Maker’s Care 2017 is sponsored by Woodworking for Mere Mortals and Micro-Jig. Both have agreed to match all donations up to $2,000! That means your donation doubles upon submission for double the impact.
