Hey @LitterBug do you know a good brand of solder and flux? I am not pleased with the cheapest stuff I could find on Amazon.....
The best stuff I got at Radio shack back in the day. Ran out of that and have just been using whatever 60/40 the local MicroCenter has.

Not great, but works. Have some really narrow for soldering through pins, and fat for power connectors.

I have used these RunCam DVR boards before.

Just be careful they are 5V only. I nuked one when plugging it in between my camera and FC when forgetting that on a plane I was running 12V to the camera. D'OH!

I have also used them for my ground station DVR, but found one that worked better and more consistently. Found by various names, MDVR, HMDVR, Mini DVR. they all look pretty much the same in a plastic box with 3 buttons. The compression and resolution proved to be better.

Nice! Will have to add one of those to my next order. Kinda think of when i build my drone of just biting the bullet and getting walksnail FPV......But for right now do you know a good gopro model that will get me good clear footage? (would like 4K but not sure if I can afford it)

I have a love/hate relation with RunCam. If stuff works right, it's great. If not support is crap, even when there "should be" a simple fix for a product, they can drag their feet or provide no support at all. I have 4 of their RunCam Split cameras that all died with not much use. It was basically a naked 1080p action camera with analog out for your FPV feed. They would run hot and the main chip would have issues with the solder connections causing them to fail after a few heat cycles. Some people would bake them to reflow the solder But it wasn't worth the risk to me that my camera could fail at any time.

Hmmm, I thought RunCam was a more high end camera....

Caddx is a good brand. Never had any issues with their gear. One of the reasons I went with the Caddx Walksail Avatar HD FPV gear. Their team is always working to improve and patch, where RunCam can be laggy and unresponsive.

Only problem I see with the L is lack of flexibility, especially with anyennas. For a bone stock setup they are pretty awesome though.
