I don’t know much about quads, but I think 5” would be best, wind shouldn’t be a problem like it would with 3.5”
Just wanted to touch back on this, that 2.5" actually bucks the wind quite well for such a small drone! I would say it has a top speed of right around 35mph which isn't bad....I am SOOOO glad she didn't get a 5" because that would have been WAAAY to powerful for her!

She is now ready to move on to a 3.5".....She said 5" is too big ad powerful for her....Now me, I want a 10" someday!!!!! Those things are AWESOME! 😁 Here are some videos of one.....

Okay karlGPT does work! I am used to Inav or Betaflight where it gets ready to connect in like .001 sec where as Arduopiloit takes a bit to get going and it won't connect until its all initialized ect.
I think i know why you used mission planner for something: I think its re ordering the motors because it looks like you can't do it in QGC.

I have flow 9x3 a bunch. I even ran a A450 FPV with the same setup as the hex below. Can run 6S with the 9x3 props all day long. Could prop up with 4 or 3S.

This hex flew 6S @ flite fest last year.
