Making sure I have all the required parts for a build

I'm considering building my own quadcopter, but since this is my first time, I don't know if I have all the parts. Unfortunately there's no handy way of sharing hobbyking shopping carts, so I've just copied and pasted things here. Obviously the *actual* choices I make in the end might vary, but I just want to make sure I conceptually have everything: Frame, 4 motors, 4 escs, flight controller, 4 props (cw and ccw), battery strap.

Is there anything you think I've forgotten? Do I need some washers or robber o-rings or mounts of stuff like that that make the whole thing work that newbies like me have no clue about? If I order this, only to find out that I have to wait another 2 weeks for that one part that I was missing, I'll be very sad indeed.

The kit below puts me comfortably under 100 EUR. If I go to my LHS and buy the kits they're selling, I'll end up with something far more expensive.

What's obviously missing are batteries and a radio, but I'm considering buying them locally, as I want a DX6i, which hobbyking doesn't carry.
Edit: if you know of a radio of similar quality to the DX6i carried by hobby king, please let me know =)

Without trying to search my memory for every small item involved such as heat shrink, solder, nylon ties, etc. I would suggest watching a few youtube videos and paying attention in what is used and the intangibles that make it easier.

As to a cheap transmitter that is ready to go from HK that's under $70, the Orange is great for a first time transmitter. No module is needed and the programming is easy. I bought one for my brother early last year and he likes it allot. It's not quite the bargain it used to be at $54, but still a great beginner Tx. Don't be embarrassed about its orange transparent case. . .even the Mythbusters use them.

That's a good point. I'll see if I can find some good videos.

I don't know who or what was doing the math when I put this together, but "comfortably under 100 EUR" simply isn't true. Maybe I entered 1 motor and 1 esc. My current shopping cart, admittedly with some extra cables and props and stuff weighs in at 225 EUR. Still without the RX/TX. At that price, I might just consider some kind of PNF/ARF/BNF thing.

Well, I put a package together, including some lipos, for 285 EUR. Not as cheap as I had expected, but also not nearly as expensive as just getting a DJI Flamewheel at the LHS. It saddens me that the LHS doesn't have anything between "toy" and "full blown DJI stuff". There's no middle range, and they suffer for it. Also, with what I've ordered, I get the joy of building it myself, which is half the fun =)

I'll still get a DX6i at the LHS. The hobbyking alternatives simply were not compelling enough.

I personally i do not consider DJI pro.. i dis like that company for some reason. :)
im sure hobby stores like DJI tho.. here you go kid. auto level robot landing take off. give me 3k, see ya in a day when you ready for parts. oh yeah, and if DJI brickls your quad, you are SOL mate. laughs. all the way to the bank. evil grin.
good luck on your build.
