Master Series Spitfire questions

A while back I built an Eclipson Spitfire and while it was absolutely gorgeous, I learned a warbird is not a great beginner plane. Fast forward a few years and I've got the itch for another Spitfire. As much as I love and appreciate the design and effort that Eclipson puts into their planes, they're just not as durable as foamboard. I guess my question is, does the FT Master Spitfire fly like a warbird or is it modified to fly like any other low wing? I had been told countless times that old warbirds have their own flying manual and boy did I learn the hard way. I know that Flite Test has occasionally sacrificed scale appearance for the sake of flyability and am curious if the Spitfire has received the same treatment?

I haven't built the MS Spit yet (it's all cut out and waiting). But if you want a sweet flying plane the swappable Spit can't be beat.

Man I have heard good things about the swappable but I just need to have those gorgeous contours on the trailing edge of the wing where it curls up to the fuselage. I think I'm gonna pull the trigger on the master series. Im a much better pilot and foam board artist now. I think im also going to scale the eclipson retractable landing gear up a bit and incorporate them into the master series spitfire.

In my opinion, all of the Flite Test Master Series warbirds fly much easier than their heavier foamy counterparts. Their lower wing loading lets pilots fly much more slowly and have more time to correct mistakes. Plus (for me, anyway), the landings are the most challenging parts of flying RC- even with the added weight of extra gear, the MS warbirds usually will just float in.

I agree. Very nice plane.
