Hey Metalldanny You inspired me to get into this hobby a month ago and its sooo much fun I already build a quadcopter like your blackout mini-h. I took your pids and almost the same parts. It flies awesome

I have two questions why do you use the 20gr heavy ZTW20A ESC`s ?

The second one is a little bit more tricky I`m using also Cleanflight 1.9, 2204 1960kv and 6045 HQ Props, Naze32, 4S 1300mha 60C Lipo, TBS Core Pro and DYS20A ESC`s. And I recently had a lot of motor failures in flight. (motor went smoking) Do you have any idea what could cauze this? Maybe some Cleanflight bug?

nice to hear i inspire you a ltitle bit .. Welcome in the "Broken Prop club"

i use the "heavy" ZTW20a because i hate changes
not for a specific reason .. i started last year with them because they are Plug and Play
i'm a BIG NERD with Quad Building and Trying new stuff .. because i have no idea to do it

i'm just want to fly .. and a Friend builds my mini's

i use Cleanflight 1.7.2 (same reason .. hate changes)
maybe you motor screws are to long?
never heard a Motor smoking .. normally the ESC going to smoke


but i gonna try next week some SN20A (esc) .. got a lot Failure recently with the ztw20 (dont now why)

Thanks a lot for your reply I would suggest not to use the SN20A Esc. They fail a lot and they have not enough power. Have a look at this test here:

Better go with the Rotorgeeks 20A Boris B is also using them

Damnn .. had a Hard Time on this Race Weekend !!!!
a lot of Crashes and Mid-Airs with some other Pilots
Flying with 3-and-a-half Props in the SemiFinal etc etc
but i keep on fighting until the END !!
had a Mid-Air in the Final .. but could Luckily Recovered iT ....
and Fly the MiniH-Racer over the finish-Line in Third Position !!!
I'm very Happy with the Result after a Bad Start of The weekend
