Micro Airplanes Electronics help!

Hi Guys,
Recently I was away on a vacation and while reading my 30 some airplane magazines I brought I saw an add for this little plane. https://sawncraft.com/products/cherokee-24-kit I decided to build my own but on returning home and googling a bit I have had no luck with finding the electronics. I don't want to spend a fortune on a micro plane and was hoping to build on with a budget of about 30 $ Actually, as iv been writing this and looking online I have found a few electronics that look promising. https://www.banggood.com/Racerstar-...tproducts__1&ID=49005522421&cur_warehouse=USA
I am envisioning a 10 in wingspan give or take and I'm not sure if that motor will be enough.
Also, I am going away in a week so I would like to have an airplane to take or at least be able to ship some electronics to my destination so I can build when I get there. I also don't know what prop sizes I will need pushrods etc.
If anyone knows anything about these microelectronics and where to get them please let me know

I have a couple more questions now. If I use this https://hobbyking.com/en_us/2-4ghz-...ble-receiver-w-brushed-esc-linear-servos.html could I tie it up to the little red motor that I had the link to in my first article? Would that be enough thrust? and what do I need to connect the prop too? Also, what are the cheapest sized electronics? If I go a bit larger would It be cheaper?

NO, that motor kV rating is WAY to high, and that "Suppermicro-system" is no way suitable for your style of model.
You must get the same or VERY close to what they recommend (and for your TX) or your wasting your money and time !!!
Do your research, all the information is above, or go to Web page for that model you brought.

I haven't bought a model I want to scratch build some. :) I would like to get a couple sets of cheap electronics so I can build one whenever I want and be able to fly them around in my house.

Sorry, I misread your post. I thought you needed electronics and parts for the model you linked to.
Best way to select parts is to find a model same size and type to the one you want to scratch build and buy similar electronic's and parts to what they recommend or what other people are successfully using.

Try taking a look at these:

These are all balsa model builds, but sound like they're the size you want to have built - 10"-20" wingspan, and indoor flyer.

These use brushed motors, 1s batteries, and the control board/esc of what you'd find in say, a UMX T-28 Trojan, or a Vapor or UMX Timber.

Might be something you can design off of :)

Looks like an A pack might work well here based on Thrust parameters. Worth look. Then you use 5g servos.

Now for the motor, I am not sure how to pick the right motors. I think I have 2 options here what is the best and why(https://www.stevensaero.com/product/pkz3624/) (https://www.banggood.com/Coreless-R...toys-and-hobbies-US&ID=46057&cur_warehouse=CN) I'm trying to build something that I can fly in the house if possible. Any other information anyone knows would be appreciated. Also I'm not sure if all those connectors are compatible so If anyone knows please let me know.

Going by what you have posted DFB is going to be way to heavy you will have to look at Depron or EPP to keep it light enough in 1MM..

Pulling off the paper will lighten it and weaken it.

What I suspect we are concerned about here is the original post states a 24" span, re-reading I see it doesn't matter.

I just pulled out my motor (https://www.banggood.com/Coreless-R...toys-and-hobbies-US&ID=46057&cur_warehouse=CN) and put it together... I imagine it would work on the Nerd Nic's Tiger Moth. and there is a micro f-22 here too by @localfiend. I tried to build and failed... both... and ESCs hate me, and my hamfistedness on the 1.7g servo, stripped the one of the two I had.

Let us know what you tackle! :)

has anyone even had much sucess with the paper airplane project? I have tried this project 3 times in the past, i couldn't ever get it to work properly.

Was your problem with the electronics or getting it to fly well? I am thinking about trying it but I'm slightly concerned that peter made it seem more simple than it actually is.

Yeah he tends to do that :D. I think the problem is that when you throw the thing, the paper airplanes wings are too flimsy and flap around too much, I think that messes around with the gyros on the drone. I had a friend who bought one of those power ups for a paper airplane a few years ago, and he ran into the same issue.
