thank you but 194 is a bit too much how do i get it to 160 or 170

I didn't even bother calculating the price of what I listed, that was just a budget minded DYS 1306 setup which I know will work. You can shop around and see if you can find those components for cheaper at different vendors.

Otherwise you might want to consider an 1104/1105 type setup like these:

i think the motors work but i found ztw spiders that are cheaper that all sums up to 177 a bit on the high end but i think it will do.Did you mount your battery on the top plate?

Those are $14.35 a pair. Seems like a good deal. I know some folks have had problems with the threads and such. Don't know if they was wrenching down too hard or not. Something like a super like smoothing over on the threads with 300 grit sandpaper would work well if the threads are tight.

Strapped it to the bottom! I like the small 450 batteries, some guys are flying 850 and 1000mAh packs and that seems like overkill to me. We just need some good 500-600mAh 4S packs to come out, that will be the sweet spot I think, and I wouldn't be surprised if they start popping up soon.

i can get this down to 150 so i think i got the budget part down now my concern is the quality of those emax motors i have the metal ones on my nighthawk so im hoping the plastic ones will be half decent

Well I cannot attest to the quality of the motors. I have yet to use any. Good luck with it and keep us posted.

So I just flew my blade 150 on 2s. Just under full throttle to hover, and climbing was really slow. I am coming in at about 165g without the battery so maybe if you can keep the weight down you'll be better off.

Hope this helps.

PS...I have a set of DYs1396-2300kv motors and turnigy 6amp escs that I won't be using. Have your parents email me a work address and I'll drop them in the mail.

Oh...I also got a set of DYS 1306 2300kv motors and 4 turnigy 6amp esc's that I do not plan on using. If your parents want to email me a work address I'll drop them in the mail. At some point in the future you can pay it forward.

If airhawk does not want these motors and escs I will gladly take them as I am trying to design my own 3d printed micro frame
