Building a Duckling for the build-ruary contest and needed motor mounts and skid plates. I land in asphalt and hard pack dirt only. So i printed these and thought i would share them. Thanks to @Horseman3381 for the plans. Let me know if there is any issues, I am very new to 3d design. I use a heat gun to curve the front plate (blow dryer would pry work too).
Do you think it would be wise to print it on its side so the thrust doesn't pull on the plane of the layer lines? This would come at the cost of needing some supports, but could be worth it

Though I've never flown with this actual one before, I fly all my FT planes with 3d printed mounts (PETG) and have never had that issue. I made it a little thicker, so I think it will be fine face down. That's how I'm gonna print mine for the Duck.

I prefer to print with the "face" of the firewall on the bed, I have tried verticaly but it is much weaker.
