Mighty mini sportster

Hello could anyone help me with the might mini sportster I just need to know do i have to use 8 channel transmitter because I have got the flysky FS-i4? and for ailerons could I be able use a XY servo connection lead?

I looks like it can be built with 4 channels and a y cable or 5 channels with no y cable.

You will be fine with a 4 channel setup.
Back in the 72mhz days, the majority of the Tx were 4 channels. A few guys could afford to buy a 6 channel setup.
