Mini Arrow Speed build

Take those creases out of the top skin by removing the paper from the inside and rounding the upper part of the wing like they do in the master series. It will go faster.

And that is amazing!!!! I like wings hopefully I'll get there one day. Running the Versa with a smooth airfoil on 4s and it is definitely faster - makes me a little nervous still.
What motor prop setup do you use on the versa?

Just completed a new variation of the arrow, gonna see how aerodynamic this frame is vs the other on a 3cell. So far this new one is thinner, smoother, and stronger.

The design in the above post got a few modifications because.
1. Thrust angle was hard to control
2. The plane was way to nose heavy
Sooo after modifying with a smaller version(painted yellow) the full size frame is built and holds the 2x 1300 3cell packs with ease. All the edges are ironed. New design is the all white one.

Making some progress on speed wing version 2. Motor is lower kv 1950 t motor f60. It swings a 5x5.2 prop of 6s at 1072 watts, motor is barely warm😎

Sorry, didn't see this question. I'm using this motor. With 3s I'm using the 9-6 and with the 4s I used the 9-6 with a 30 amp esc but the esc cut out so I've got a 7-5 apc because that's all I have at the moment. I should put the 40amp esc in there but that requires overcoming inertia.

Nice, that’s a fairly efficient setup😎
Ok, made a little bit of progress today, did a test flight and it was too tail heavy even with the batts in the very front. So just did an hour of surgery on it relocating electronics farther forward. Test flight coming soon🤞

To go faster you could possibly double up your motors. Make it a twin. I have a twin tractor versa that hits 100 on 3S, you could do the same configuration or possibly even a push-pull in-line twin setup with one motor in the front and one in the back. The nice thing with either setup would be the elimination of propeller torque effects.

Dang nice! Do you having any issues landing it and breaking motor mounts? I’m a little hesitant on putting nice motors on the front with my luck lol.

I haven't had any issues landing it. It has three pods underneath, one for each motor and ESC, and the third to house the battery and RX. This third pod is deeper than the motor pods, and I reinforced it with a plastic hatch and gorilla tape for belly landings. Here are a few more pictures to describe what I'm talking about.
