I’ve taken them off my stock arrow and it flies ok, doesn’t track at straight. I have really small 1.5 inch ones on my mini arrow V3. You can always cut little by little and experiment😎👌
Man, that was insanely fast!! Just curious, I can tell you are using an APC prop, but what pitch/size are you using? You might be able to increase the speed by increasing the pitch...

That 167 was on a 5.2x6 apc prop. Funny you mentioned going up in pitch bacause I literally just looked to see if they made a steeper pitch...and they do! A 5x7 apc😱. So ordered a bunch of them😁 I think a 5x7 and a more aerodynamic airframe it might break the current foamboard record of 175 mph
Awesome!! If anyone can break it, it's you! Sorry - I got kinda carried away on a different project so I wasn't able to finish up the arrow plans. I'll get to it soon though - I can't wait to build one! I'll be using the F pack on 4s.

Works for me👍 4 cell should be nice and quick. Over the past few days I have flown the V3 about 2 dozen times, and it’s very smooth at high speed, it’s not at nimble as the original mini arrow, but the 118 mph on a 3 cell makes it worth it😎.

Awesome! Looking forward to it! Since it’s scratch built plans you might need to modify and get creative a bit, but for a one sheet build it flies pretty darn good.
How fast do you think mine will go on 4s?

Hmm, you could probably run a 4x5 prop on that motor, I’m guessing around 125-130mph. Are you gonna run 2 cell in series so it fits in the wing?

180 mph goal mini arrow V3 build in progress... electronics I am going to use... Tmotor F60 IV 1950KV, 50 amp BLheli 32 ESC, 750mah Tattu R line 3 cell in series, 5x7 APC E prop, 2 amp BEC, 10 gram MG servos.
Sweet!! Fastest I've done was about 70 on a ft goblin so 120 should be amazing! I was planning on 5.25x6.25 and a tattu 1050 4s pack.

Nice! That prop might be too much on a 4 cell, you can always trim it down a little and keep that precious pitch😎. Tattu rocks! Only thing is the 4 cell will be a bit too thick to fit internally, you might need to make a pod for it or just make a hole and let it hang out and secure it with tape or Velcro. But yeah you should definitely go over 100mph😎

Looks good! Just curious, any reason why you like the ailerons separate and not the ft paper hinge?

From my experience I found that the paper peels off the hinge part during high speed maneuvers. You could put tape on the bevel side and it would work. I just like having tape on both sides of the hinge, I feel a bit safer when flying at myself at 150mph +😎😜
