I'm doing a project with these parts:
I tried to test out my motors by connecting: motor > ESC > Receiver -- Transmitter
The ESC instantly got fried as soon as I gave it some throttle.
Then I tested the same circuit but using a different ESC:

and the motor works just fine.
What's the difference between the regular and mini ESC's? The first thought that came to my mind is that if the current rating is within what the motor will take, then the motor will work fine. But it wasn't in this case.
