Hey guys, I’m going to make the Ft bronco and it requires I mirror a wing. What is a good way to mirror it. I hope I’m not an idiot and there’s a simple solution..
This is pretty common with plans. You can either flip the wing over and trace it on a new sheet of foamboard or put the plans on upside down and cut it out. Shouldn't be too tricky.
Cut just outline of 2 wing halves, then flip one wing half over. On the wing half not flipped make all of the bevels & scores as on the plans. Then flip the plans over to make the bevels & scores on the 2nd wing half. I use a needle to poke through the plans & mark the foam where the score & bevel need to be.
I hate it when plans don’t include both sides. I print all the sheets off, stick ‘em together then go “wait, where’s the other… Oh for F-“ then end up printing off a bunch of tiles, that usually include bits of the plan I don’t need to duplicate.
If you're just printing out the plans and tracing, it's pretty easy to flip a template over and trace the mirror version as others have suggested.
I don't know of an easy way to mirror all or part a PDF in Adobe. Some, but not all printers have a dialog box to print mirrored or inverted. It's also possible to import PDFs into an image manipulation program like GIMP and mirror in there.
