Motor position

I am a beginner in RC Flying. i need to know what is the best position for motor in tractor configuration. Inside the fuselage or outside it?
Kindly Help

I think the difference there is minimal. I've nose dived several small models right into the motor/prop and no motor problems yet. With the motor behind the wing or tail I think the difference is negligible.

Damage to a motor from a crash very much depends on what it is mounted on. If you can make a mounting stiff enough that it can handle the loads without distortion but fragile enough to easily 'give way' in a crash the motor is unlikely to be damaged.
A built up structure in sheet foam can do this very well.
The result of a 'nose plant' in June 2018

The fuselage was cut back to sound material and the nose rebuilt with motor, prop, ESC and battery all undamaged and reused.
It is still going strong.

I agree with the others, inside or outside the fuse will not make much difference. I have bent a few motor shafts & have had good luck replacing them.

Pusher planes do offer more protection to the motor.
