Ok Normally, if my motors run hot I check the amps, watts, then the connectors if all in spec. I change the motor timing to low and test run again at 3 minutes or 5 minutes,
Now my question is Motor temps for inrunner motor we can discuss outrunner too if any one wants.
Here is my motor spec: 2040 Brushless Inrunner Motor 4800kv

Specification:
Dimensions: 20mm x 40mm
Max Amps: 20A
Resistance: 0.0399
KV: 4800
No load current: 1.4A
Max Power: 220W
Li-Po: 2-3S
ESC: 25A

Kv (rpm/v) 4800
Weight (g) 63
Max Current (A) 20
Resistance (mh) 0
Max Voltage (V) 11
Power(W) 220
Shaft A (mm) 2.3
Length B (mm) 40
Diameter C (mm) 20
Can Length D (mm) 39
Total Length E (mm) 51

On My test I was at around 50 watts (42-46) at 11.5 amps that climbed to 12.3 @ 50 % ~ throttle on a 3cell 2200 mha nano tech bat with a 45 amp turnigy esc. temp went from 26c to 100c at the end of the test the (prop) hyperflow 56mm edf fan unit in a syncro plane, test was done outdoors @ around 35 C.

Any one have any imfo, Is this normal motor temp for a inrunner what the max temp ? Any help would be good I have a 5000kv edf motor on a slow boat from hk if I have to wait on it. I likel the 4800 just looked like the elect fly ammo can motor to me.
