motors overheating...

Copter weight would tell me if you are drawing a huge amount of power just to hover. Those motors would struggle on a copter weighing a kilo so I had to ask.

Motors get hot with no props answers that question though anyway. You have an ESC timing problem or a flight controller problem IMO.

It's solved! i flew the quad yesterday, even got the PIDs dialed in pretty good. no more overheating! the esc calibration without oneshot seems to have done it, and also lowering the P on PIDs with about 70% from standard value which was waay to high i guess creating micro oscilations? and oneshot calibration the ESC timing problem. thanks for your help, i can allways count on this forum:)

I'm having the same exact issue.

TBS PowerCube
Emax 2205 2300 (mounted them with nylon screws for testing cause I thought about the winding issue also)
5054 props and no props

Motors overheating

How did you calibrate your ESC's I thought it was disabled by the PowerCube folks ?
Can I get a screen shot of the PID's or a short video of the CleanFlight setup?

Thank you
