Today was seven hours of irritation, dispair and finally successI tried that in my early FPV days and of course that didnt work out well, I spent days looking for all the elec noise sources

I'll be shaking, but I WILL fly itIf I were you I'd just taxi it around. I'd be too scared to fly it!
yayPretty much complete...
Receiver + satellite, gear sequencers, stabilizer all fitted and adjusted. 3 rates, 35% expo on all surfaces, manual, stabilized and auto level configured. Balances perfectly - mega excited!!!
Last decision - what coloured name lettering, red or grey, what's the forums view?

Awesome, If you trimmed it in with the flaps down don't forget to zero those out and start over next time. Should go a lot faster with the flaps upIt only went and flew. First battery I used for some high speed taxies and to adjust the tracking.
I was going to do the same with the second pack but halfway across the field, I just went for it and she took off beautifully.
Then I took all of my self control not to shake to pieces!
I did retract the undercarriage but totally forgot to lift the flaps so the while flight was flown with take-off flaps.
Did about four or five circuits and then it was landing time....the wheels extended fine and I set up an approach, but she carried too much speed and last moment I aborted, just missing the long grass at the edge of the field. One time around and this time I was determined that the plane was landing. It did, nice and smoothly and I could breath again.
I was too nervous to do any trimming!!! It was close to right without.Awesome, If you trimmed it in with the flaps down don't forget to zero those out and start over next time. Should go a lot faster with the flaps up
Any video?I was too nervous to do any trimming!!! It was close to right without.
Just seeing it in the air was reward enough.
None, as I said, I was not expecting to actually take off today. My son was with me today and he's a professional photographer, he was at his car when I took off and didn't have his Megabucks camera outAny video?
Smooth as silkFollowing the principal of pictures/video or it didn't happen, here's the video of my second flight of the Taft Hobby Viper.
This plane is awesome, gets many admiring looks at the flying field!
It flies so well!!!Smooth as silk
First one that has landing gear. The other two EDFs that I have flown were an FT X-29 and an FT style L-39.yes it did fly nicely and you nailed the landing. Was that your first edf flight ever?
