My girlfriend's grandfather has got a glider and I have been trying to set up a ride for my dad's birthday coming up soon, any words of advice for him and myself for our first ride??

Nope, just have fun and enjoy the view! That's all the first flight is for....the rest you can get more involved.

The season is sadly drawing to a close, but not before I got to mess around with a gopro mount I made that attached to the Blanik's tie-down eye bolts.

This year was a rather crappy soaring season in Ohio. We have a new Base out of Ortner airport, closer to lake Erie (not really a good thing, but the old airport was sold).

Here's a quick sled ride (no soaring flight) from the new place. One benefit is the paved runway so we no longer have to wait for dry ground to start the season.

I just recently got my Glider Pilot's Licence this summer with the Royal Canadian Air Cadets. I did all my training on the Schweizer SGS 2-33A and can't wait for the winter to end so get back into it.
