My Turkey Vulture

Thanks to http://www.thehangarrc.com for the inspiration. They have a very nice plane, easy to build, with skins that make it really look great. I downloaded the plans and, while waiting for my kit, increased the size, added wheels and created "The Turkey Vulture".

Flite Test maker foam. Decorated with sharpie art and colored packing tape. Armin Wing 52" with wing loading of 7.11 oz ft sq with all up weight (w/o battery) of 16 oz. Added 3 in wheels and bent some 5/32 in wire landing gear. Balance point is right at the wing balance point, which means I can use any battery on hand.

Power is thehangerrc recommended 2212/10 1400kv (10 turn) motor swinging an APC 8 x 4 prop. Static thrust is 22 oz.

Fuse length is 32 inches. To keep from having to join two 20 x 30 sheets, I laid it out on the diagonal. All dowels are reinforced with pieces of gift cards to prevent tearing through the foam. Awaiting calmer winds.
