This was my first trip to the National Air Force Museum in Dayton Ohio and it sure won't be my last. It is an AMAZING place. The only thing that rivals it, that I've seen, is the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in Washington DC. We're lucky to only be about an hours drive from Dayton so we decided to go see the museum as kind of an end of summer field trip.
It's huge and we only really got to take a look at two of the four hangers. My boys were amazed and loved it but after the first ten minutes, I was slowing us down with my photo taking and reading all the history. I will definitely be making another trip out and if any FliteTest fans in the area or passing through want to make a group trip out it would be amazing. The museum is free and there is a really nice little food court and gift shop. I didn't grab the best camera but here are some of the highlights of what was in the two hangers we walked.
