Need advice on new radio module.

Hey guys,

I've been having some ridiculously bad interference on my Orangerx DSM2 and X receivers, as in I'm being shot down or locked out almost every flight. I lost my NN p-39 on its maiden, as well as both my Cessna 180s and my strykers (strykers repairable).

Looking around I saw a lot of options for different radios and protocols, so I thought I'd ask here. What is a good solid module based radio system? I've heard good things about Frsky and the Walkera devo series (deviation firmware) what do you guys prefer?

My base radios are a Turnigy 9x (ER9x firmware) and a JR XP8103.

Thanks!

Devation is firmware for the devo transmitters. I have no experience with it, but Im not sure how that would solve your problem, or are you looking in to buying a new radio? If so, its hard not to recommend the taranis instead. Well, even if you were not planning on it, you should consider selling your current radio's and upgrading to a taranis to make the most of the telemetry capabilities. It will have the frsky module internally and still have a module bay for your dsm gear should you ever want to risk it again. And you're already familiar with open/ertx.

If your current radio's do they what have to do, minus having good radio links, then sure, go ahead and buy a frsky module and some compatible receivers. Its about as good as it gets for a very affordable price.
