NEED HELP PLEASE

My 13 yr old son got a Boomin' Flerken for Christmas. He has built it and everything seems to be working great except the motors wont rotate with upward throttle. I emailed flite test and they sent me a file for his Radiomaster pocket. the file is called FT TWIN, I believe its exactly what it needs, it even has differential thrust since there is no rudder. when i move the throttle stick forward nothing happens, even the screen that shows the inputs shows no change when moving the throttle up and down. If i move it side to side it registers that no problem. We have no previous experience with RC planes but are trying to work through the problems. Flite test youtube has many videos on how to setup the Remote but i cant find anything to resolve this. Any help would be appreciated!

Also, is your ESC plugged into port 3?

When you plug it in, does it beep a few times and then stop beeping, or does it continue to beep? If it continues to beep, then your ESC isn’t receiving a low throttle signal from your receiver, so it won’t arm. This could happen if you plugged the ESC into a different port that is assigned to the ailerons, because those would be giving it a mid-stick signal.

I checked everything and it is plugged into the correct ports. Thanks for helping.

I believe the problem is in the setup of the controller. in this picture you can see that the controller itself is not registering that the stick has been moved forward. All other movements of the controls shows a change in the numbers except throttle up and down. The only video on flight test that i could find how to bind the radiomaster controller was for a single engine plane. It required that you go to SETUP and then scroll down to TYPE and choose FrSky X. Next choose D16 and Channels 1-16, after that Bind to my R88 reciever by waiting for it to flash 2 lights before binding. I have never done anything like this before so i assume that the setup is the same for a twin engine Boomin Flerken

The throttle cut wouldn’t be set up as a mix. It’s under the special functions menu.

Check out this video. It’s for a different radio, but it’s still EdgeTX like your radio. The menus will look different, but everything will be there, just in a slightly different place.

Man you found the issue!!!! Thank you, I would have never gotten that! I have never heard of a throttle cut, I really appreciate your help!
