Need help sourcing a piece of board

My 12 year old has been assembling the master series spitfire from the excellent construction video. This is their first plane build buy themselves.
They were doing great but accidentally glued the curvier piece that connects the nose cone upside down.
We tried to remove it but this piece got destroyed.
The piece is the curved piece that connects the nose cone to the rear fuselage (the large piece over the wing - see photo).

We need an 11” x 13” piece of board to recreat this piece.
I looked into buying board from flite test but the smallest quantity is way more expensive than the lane kit cost an none of the local hobby stores carry it.
Does anyone have any any suggestions on getting a piece of this board affordably or a substitute that may be usable for this complex curve?
Would dollar store foam board work for this?
Thus is our first flite test / foam board plane so any advice would be helpful.
Cheers
CR
